Joy Weick is a true master of movement, known for her stunning aerial performances and ethereal grace. With over a decade of professional experience as a multi-disciplinary dancer and aerialist, she has captivated audiences at events and festivals like Kaslo Jazz Etc., Basscoast, Shambhala Music Festival and Envision. Her performances alongside renowned artists like Emancipator, CloZee, Truth, Ivy Lab, Maribou State, Christian Löffler, Big Wild, Ani Difranco and Khruangbin speak to her experience as a top performer in the Canadian aerial arts community.
Drawing on her extensive background in classical ballet, Joy blends the elegance of dance with the thrill of aerial acrobatics, creating sensory experiences that are both beautiful and breathtaking. Her deep passion for expressive movement and her unwavering commitment to her craft inspire audiences to appreciate the limitless possibilities of creative expression.
Joy shares her love of aerials with a dedicated group of students at Discover Circus, a non-profit studio in Nelson, B.C. She is Level 3 Certified by Aerial Physique, certified through NECCA, holds a 200 hr Vinyasa YTT and has over a decade of professional experience coaching aerial arts and performance development to students of all levels.
